I love mini dresses, maxi dresses, wrap dresses, strapless dresses, one-shoulder dresses. In other words, I haven’t met a dress that I don’t love (unless it has no waist in which case I still buy it, but accessorize it with a cute belt). In order to keep my walk-in closet from overflowing, I regularly clean out old dresses that I haven’t worn for awhile usually donate them to Goodwill. However, occasionally I’ll have a nicer dress that I can’t quite bring myself to give away and in that case I take it straight to Current Boutique to get a bit of money back and usually find a great new dress to replace it.
Current Boutique (2529 Wilson Blvd, Arlington, VA) is a consignment shop that buys lightly worn clothes from mid-tier brands like Lilly Pulitzer, J. Crew, Milly, 7 for All Mankind, and countless other well know labels and resells it in their adorable Clarendon store (love the Pink and Green striped accent wall!). They also purchase some new trendy items to expand on their selection.
Current is a great place to go shopping if you want a great everyday look, but your bank account is looking a little on the low side. They have everything from jeans to work attire to weekend wear and of course, party dresses. I’ve told all my friends to shop there (and bring in some of their clothes to sell) so you should too! Here are some of the great dresses I’ve found at Current in the past year:
